Our new Treasurer, Jim Chalmers has indicated he wants to have better ways to measure living standards that include education attainment and health outcomes and a greater focus on people’s wellbeing.
Increasing physical activity is a key focus area of the federal government’s National Preventive Health Strategy 2021-2030 (NPHS), as well as the focus of many international and state governments.
Exploring how through collaborations, we can embrace opportunities to collectively make a difference to the health of the nation and drive participation in physical activity over the next decade and create foundations for a healthy life.
We will hear in detail from Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Georgina McCann how they are addressing physical activity and participation as part of a preventative health strategy across Victoria.
